Testicular cancer

So, I found out recently a buddy of mine who is also a member here was diagnosed with testicular cancer and as a result had one removed. He's all about awareness since, hence why I know about it. He's gonna delete his profile here cos he thinks no one will meet with him anymore. I have said not to because I don't think people would really mind one way or another.

So looking to see what you ladies and couples think about this

Happy fabbing people

Hope he's recovering well after it and that he gets a clear bill of health soon

No way would I delete for what reason no one has ever stated a preference for their meets to have two balls once the under carriage is functioning fire away

He knows I'm posting for him. I think he's embarrassed that he might have a meet and the other persons reaction might be negative

I hope he's on the road to recovery and I think that should be his focus for the mo!

Personally it wouldn't put me off in the slightest as long as he's comfortable with his body then that would make me comfortable too!

Id say his confidence took a huge knock during his treatment.I admire anyone who faces issues like these. Encourage him to hide the profile rather than delete till hes in the right headspace to meet again. When he is, advise him to tell his meets to avoid any embarrassment he might feel.It wouldnt make a difference to me either way, if i wanted to meet, i would

I wish him a full recovery....... That would never be an issue for me...I would have no problem meeting him. He is probably feeling quite vulnerable

Give him my best wishes....

I'd advise against hiding or deleting the profile, as it would then remove all verifications - and you know how difficult it is to get them there to start with. Simply make a note on the profile text that you're taking a 'Time-Out' and will be back when you're ready.

And No, so long as he's comfy with himself, it wouldn't bother me either.

I work with The John Hartson Foundation(Testicular Cancer) which was set up by John Hartson the former Celtic, Arsenal, West Ham & Wales player who was only an inch away from death after not acting when finding a growth.

Read the Foundation website for all the info you need on all matters including how to re-find confidence in yourself.

The Foundation slogan is "Grab Life By The Balla" never a truer statement made....I hope he reads some of the stories online and then gets right back in the saddle...It will give him advice on how to talk to people about his illness....Keep supporting him....Phil

You are always such a gent Phil!

Well done OP for posting on your friends behalf x

For your friend, i hope you have a speedy recovery. Reading the posts above i think you`ll find that it doesnt bother most people. And if it did bother some, would you entertain the idea of meeting with them anyway?

Personally it wouldnt bother me at all, actually id be quite flattered if a guy i was chatting with on here wanted to share that part of himself with me. It is after all a very personal thing.

Its easy for us all to say get back in the saddle. Take your time and when your ready come back and live life to the max.

Stay healthy

S x

There's always a prosthetic testicle available should he still find himself embarrassed ?!?! My guess is that he will come to terms with his loss and put it into perspective in time .. It's a (excuse the pun) small price to pay in return for his health .. Best wishes to your friend.

tbh, I don't think your mate need worry about the opinion a woman would have! I think they wouldn't mind one bit! Ive a friend who has a ball removed, won't stop joking about it, and now the wife is pregnant every year!

Best of luck to him here or anywhere else . I knew a fella who lost a ball through cancer at a very young age , early twenties. He recovered, his girfirend stood by him , had a girl and it transformed his life, gave up drink and the good times he never looked back, and he's still with his woman, happy out.

Of all the things that would potentially put me off meeting someone, an orchidectomy is not among them.
