I'm not sure that would really be such a pleasant surprise. Better to be woken up to a cuddle and a hug, and thereafter let the woman choose how she would like to be treated - after all it's about what she wants, not what you want.

Also, given the site we are on, perhaps a day to reflect on the fact that even in 2016 many thousands of women worldwide are forced to undergo FGM and that in many countries (especially Middle Eastern and African) women are still treated as very much second class citizens.

As an individual I fell relatively powerless to do anything about this - best I can manage is support charities working in this area.
