The isish mammy is a special breed. She was the woman that went without so we didn't have to. She hadn't a pot to piss in nor a window to throw it out of. But fuck it we never suffered. My generation had the hand me downs, I find it hard to think back at her treating herself.

A very special woman , the Irish mammy. So to those of us that are lucky enough to be able to make tomorrow special for them. Go for it. For the ones who are putting flowers or a wreath on a grave. Remember the good times

when I first saw that I thought it said Isis mammy!!! But I think theres lots of people out there that didn't have a great mother or maybe never had a mother in their lives so let's not get carried away with labeling all Irish mothers the same, fact is if your a great mother,no matter what nationality, then we'll done for that you've done a good job...enjoy the spoilings of today
