Why oh why destroy a lovely looking jersey with a stupid 3 logo why is it that we are the only country in both soccer and rugby that supporters can't buy a plain jersey like the men on the pitch without the sponsorship plastered all over it??

I'd never noticed before...are we the only ones to have a sponsor on the jerseys? I checked Mr's England jerseys & none of them are logo'd up.

Whatever about the sponsor's logo on the shirt, we haven't had a nice national jersey since the adidas days.

Are Umbro just not capable of designing a nice jersey or what?

I haven't had an Ireland jersey since 1992's away shirt with the 3 stripes across the shoulder. I was 11.

The FAI need the sponsor on the shirt so they can get the revenue from it to pay Martin O'Neill & Roy Keane's wages

years ago while travelling to a lot of Irelands away football matches, I noticed the irish fans that were based in the UK, wore irish jerseys that had no sponsorship logo on them. After talking to them lads about it, it turned out that the FAI were only permitted to sell jerseys with the sponsorship logo on them in Ireland. Not sure I'd that's still the case, but maybe you could check it out on line from a UK sports shop..

I think it's a cracking jersey! I've never bought an Irish jersey but would be tempted with that one - seriously most international jerseys are muck. They've down a really good job with ours

It's a lovely jersey but the big three I absolutely hate. Revenue? I don't even think the northerners have sponsorship on there fan Jerseys either only training gear. Fai are just a business as usual

As opposed to the FAI being corrupt as f@#k, most countries have some levels of corruption in certain sectors but here in Ireland it seems to be high in most...
