Sorry, didn't get a chance to post this last night so here goes.
The club is called Schickeria and is located outside Dortmund. (it's even on google maps!)
I was not surprised to find that it was located in a business park, nestled between car dealerships. What I was surprised to find however, was that "swinger club" was written in big letters on the wall. This ain't Catholic Ireland where we must be ashamed of our sexual hobbies!
I went on a Sunday when the club is open during the day from 3pm-9pm. Because of this, it wasn't very busy but there were a few people there so I soldiered on.
Prices vary depending on if you're a single man, woman or couple, and further reductions are available if you're either a free or premium member of a well known German swingers site. (I'm a premium member so it cost me €40, it would normally have cost me €60)
Perhaps because I was a single guy, when I arrived and paid my admission I got no guided tour....I really had to fend for myself.
As for the club itself, well, it was quite big. Having never been to an actual club before the facilities impressed me. They included:
Full bar with DJ
Outdoor covered smoking area, which also contained a covered heated swimming pool.
Locker facilities.
Dining area with hot and cold buffet.
Hot tub.
Showers and toilets
Couples only room (singles allowed with invitation)
Themed rooms (with swings, four posters etc)
Dark room
BDSM room
..and a few more nooks an crannies.
Remember that 40 quid I paid? Well that covers everything. You're not likely to be carrying a wallet so once you pay admission you wont be putting your hand in your pocket for the rest of the night......cos you probably wont have pockets! I have to say it was quite surreal tucking into a sunday dinner whilst hearing someone moaning in passion in the next room, and the food was standard buffet fare, and not too bad (they even had dessert, but it wasn't cheesecake) :D
The place was clean with condoms and wipes in every room (no sex in the hot tub room though)
I gravitated towards a British couple who were there, and as I began to chat them, they admitted they were less impressed than I was.
"It's shit" they said "everyone is sticking to their own partners, UK clubs are much better" but that wasn't entirely accurate.
There was a group of about 3 or 4 couples that stuck to themselves (sometimes literally) and then some other couples that on that day were on a greedy girl buzz and accepted almost all single guys for some level of play (discretion forbids me from saying if i got involved) But I did feel like I got there after the ice had been broken between everyone and I was the latecomer joining the party...or maybe I was being too cautious as it was my first outing.
So, would I go there again? I'd have to say yes, but not on a sunday, and not alone. I'll definitely be back on a friday or saturday night, and I'll bring a friend with me!
