Strikes again.....

Could take some benzo's.... Only short relief... Couple of hours max.

Anyone tried Stilnoct or Zolpidem?

Hate to build up a tolerance though..

Please God I'll get some sleep ....

Ouch! Just reading this from last night. Is there any guarantee at least that you'll be so tired you'll get a full sleep tonight?

"Ouch! Just reading this from last night. Is there any guarantee at least that you'll be so tired you'll get a full sleep tonight?"

To be absolutely honest with you... No..

I regularly go 3 days & nights with no sleep.

When I work as a gym & fitness instructor it completely drains me...

So I've had to scale back some sessions ..,,

Meds do help... But I'd prefer natural sleep...

Any advice appreciated

The big D

I normally have a wee walk before having a relaxing bath. I sometimes take a Kalm (it's a natural remedy tablet) & try my best not to overstimulate on TV/online etc. It normally gets me asleep straight away but would be only for few hours before I'm awake staring at ceiling.

There's really nothing worse that been wide awake at night but feeling knackered thruout the day, vicious cycle.

Hope you crack your insomnia.

I feel ur pain Cat, I also get bouts of insomnia. Bloody hate it, I'm immune to all types of relaxers at this stage, nothing works for me. I could end up going 4 to 5 days and nights with no sleep, literally going through the days on autopilot.

Really hope u get sorted and back into a sleeping pattern soon xx

I've never seen a professional about it so all I can offer are home remedies. When I feel the eyes going the following day, I'll only allow myself a couple of short naps, 15-20 mins max, lay off the caffeine, have a hot bath (massage if Mr is handy) & usually by bedtime I'm so tired I sleep straight through (in a seperate bed to avoid Mr's jimmy legs, he's an awful fidget).

Now that's excellent advice...

I even slept on the couch last night, well lay on it, albeit himself & myself had words so I'm always forced to leave the comfy bed!

On another note...when I do get sleepers they work great... Until 10mg won't induce sleep so I try 20mg...

And so the pattern continues.....

Apologies for the rant...

Have you tried taking magnesium tablets? I found them great for a good night's sleep and getting rid of restless leg syndrome and all those niggles. You can get it at heath food shops or chemists or even Tesco. The ones from the brand Holgar are the best I find.

I feel your pain ..

I always found id feel hungover from taking the tablets and if I increased my intake they turned me into a crazy person.

I would say try some I heard it helps people sleep but then again u can build intolerance to that too (I think )

The usual shit, no tv, phone and bright lights. Bed time 10-11pm. Your body releases good toxins between 11pm-4am so its very important to sleep for these hours alone.

Hot baths, no caffine and read.

They say lavender is a natural relaxant but the best one is orange.. Try get sented orange for your room.

Its about training yourself to sleep.

Sorry for long post x

Well miss durden, I mean tomcat, all of the above is good advice. Not shower/bath being great if you can manage it.

Reading your post makes me sad as I've suffered myself. Once prescribed stilnacht. And yes, they worked. Going for your or five hours is minimum needed it say. But it's about quality of sleep and not quantity to regulate the body.

Hope you'll get through it.
