gangsters only thrive through cowardice of the public, incompetence of the police and the failure legalise drugs, I know drugs are bad but drugs from criminals are worse and possibly just rat poison or some shit. In my mind drink is worse than drugs, legalise drugs reduces cop time spent on petty criminals, takes profits out of gangs, stops petty crime to fund habits by owing at any cost to murderers and gangmasters. bring taxes to government, more money spent elsewhere where needed, less gangs, simplistic view and of course there will be people who have lost someone to depression from drugs or overdoses but just my opinion, just hate asshole gangs living off others misery while hard working people struggle through life and then handover their hard earned money to some thug, sickening

ah, just let it happen as it will always happen, fuck that. Every crime effects everybody as resources are used to combat it, investigate it, communities ruined, families torn apart, society and people stuck in one or the other gangs territory waiting for help that never comes, do we want to be part of the problem or the solution, is it right to sit around as defenceless people suffer as you watch from afar, no, we as a society should stand up and demand better of ourselves

. Well said . Criminals cost all of us money either directly or indirectly . There is nothing glamorous about their life styles and we should never sympathise with them. Everyone should be required to prove that their income is legitimately earned .

Taking drugs is a health risk. However ,I would prefer to see the sale or drugs legalised , at least it might cut out the criminals who currently deal in them ..

The same applies to prostitution

Which bothers you more, the wasted police time and resources or the crims living lavish lifestyles?

If drugs were legalised it would be the politicians using the tax from drug sales to feather their nests even more rather than crims. Pay Bertie's and big Brian's pensions. I'd rather the dealers keep the cash

The hands of the Law is also heavily tied, often these assholes are linked to property developing, clubs, pubs , ect on the outside appear to lead decent lives...

How do you deal with them?

The problem has gotten worse in Ireland both North and South, difficult to know hiw to deal with it..

why does either have to keep the cash if the correct processes are in place to distribute the money were needed. not every politician is bad, if the police had more time not chasing gangs they could clean up the politicians as well. what's wrong with making society better for others at the expense of the bad guys?

Totaly unfair of you to judge him like that....

If you have actual experience of living in these environments, you will know that drug lords instill fear in people.

They are terrified to speak out, when they find the courage to do so, THEY are bullied and often have to flee said areas.

What do you suggest??

Reply privatelyReply in forumReply +quote

It was a flippant unnecessary comment, I would have community support visible, anonymous phone numbers plastered all over that allow for tips, arrest detain small and large crime gangs. Have well established witness programs, change the narrative of fear of gangs to let's get rid of these parasites who thrive on fear. Courage, your right is doing something even though you are afraid, it's easy to say but harder to do, that has to be a group effort from visible signs of change, to education that these people are not untouchable and the lifestyle not attractive

Totaly agree with your points, yet without finance difficult to implement..

Government Agencies need to man up, delve into the finances PROPERLY of these maggots..

Many of them invest in property ect, find out exactly what finances these deals, then go after them...

Sadly many see the lifestyle as attractive, look up to them, have been to enough parties in the past and witnessed this first hand...

Courage can implement change, but the little people who suffer find it extremely tough to begin the process..

In N Ireland some use violence, wrong IMO, as often it has more to do with one lout dealing with a lout, whilst Lord and Lady mucks sit back and laugh....

The vast majority of people who take drugs regularly began doing so as a recreational pastime that morphed into an addiction.

Heroin, cocaine, sleeping pills etc. most of these junkies use boredome as an excuse for getting into drug abuse in the first place.

No pity for them. Most of them leave syringes lying around and burgle old people and mug old women. They are scum, as are those who peddle the mysery either to make money or to feed their own habit.
