So you chat to someone for a few weeks. They give you lots of information about themselves, send you pics. You arrange to meet. They message you on the day to say they can't wait, even just a few hours before you're due to meet.

You get ready, drive to where you're supposed to meet. No sign. Try them on kik, 'you here yet?' No answer. Check out their FAB profile...

At best she's got cold feet, the decent thing would be to tell who you're due to meet that to save them a trip.

At worst, I'm the dick for falling for a fake or time waster.

I suppose the new people finding it hard on the site should take heart from the fact that even pretty experienced people get caught out.

It happens. Some of my best meets were with people who have very little on their profiles.

and I've been stood up by people who had full profiles and empty profiles.

Tony, if you weren't an experienced swinger, I'd say typical beginners mistake, but in this case I'd say you were pushing your luck. Anyway it's not nice to be let down but surely you're not the type who gets dragged down by it!

I chatted a lot to this lady on kik for over a month. She had sent face pics, I know what she works at, roughly where she lives, family etc etc. If it was fake then someone went to not inconsiderable lengths to mess me about. If the face pics and information sent are real but being used by someone else I'm fairly sure that's illegal under the new UK 'revenge porn' laws.

If she was real and just lost her nerve then fair enough. It doesn't take much to say so.

My general point in posting was in response to the threads where people, especially new profiles, express how hard they find it on the site with fakes and time wasters. Being messed about can happen to anyone, long term swinger or absolute beginner.

Given a good lot of the responses I can see how foolish I've been in trying to at least see some good in everyone and giving someone new a chance. I promise to be a lot more cynical in future.

Anyway, best be off to arrange something for this weekend. Meet verified only need apply.

Got stung myself a few weeks ago trying to give an unverified guy a chance. Will never meet a non meet verified guy again. (Not saying the verified guys are 100% reliable but a little less risk involved)

Perhaps the other half found out she was here and she she could not meet or contact you..

I have flicked through a few responses. To the OP, it's a shit one. Being stood up is never nice. Personally I think it is very rude and inconsiderate. My only advice is to just forget about it. Put this one down to experience. I have a few rules that I adhere to on fab. Maybe it would benefit you to employ some too. Having looked at the profile of the fabette in question. It's one that I would steer clear of.

Enjoy your future meets, wish the fabette well and move on.

The same thing happened with us two week's ago . We had been chatting for quite a while no here and kik and then swapped numbers and chatting on whatsapp. Its really bad manners to mess people around like that . We do have a life and family off fab so had to arrange a sitter the week before and book a hotel. We where still getting texts up untill about an hour before the meet . Then nothing and the messages we sent had been read . Then we get a message on the way be there in 30min this was three hours after when we where to meet . Needless to say she never arrived. So we made the most of the night and had fun just the two of us
