Hello ladies, I'm currently toying with the idea of having a clitoral hood piercing. I've had a look around the tinternet and think this type of piercing would suit my anatomy and my needs

Anyway, none of my friends have had it done so a little advice would be welcomed from lady fabbettes in the know. My major concern would be loss of sensitivity and of course a reputable piercer.

I really want to get it done aswell...Ive done my research on it aswell,and know of 1 girl that has it done an she says she didnt lose any sensitivity,accept of course on the day she got it done...

Google piercers in your area. Their are many anonymous forums for this to get ideas of who to go to. Talk to the piercer if you manage to find one. You will lse feeling after its done and i would not playing for a week or two after.

I've had it done twice in the past and it's not as bad pain wise as you'd think it's only really sore when they're piercing you (and that's quick) and it's pretty much fine afterwards. There was a three week sex ban afterwards as well.

I had the ring in and the problem I had with it was that it would move whenever I was having sex meaning it would end up digging in and I'd have to stop to readjust it several times during a good session. Needless to say that's the main reason I got rid of it.

No problems with sensitivity, if anything I'm more sensitive now than I was before

Thanks fiercesasha, was it a full ring you had? I was looking at the open circular barbell. Great advice, I'll definitely have to find someone good who does it and have a good chat first. xx

That's why I changed my mind about getting an apadravya (a bar going vertical through the head of the little man). It's not that I'm having much sex but I'm a great believer in Murphy's law. Once i can't actually have sex, the chances to have it will be everyday or so.

I actually don't get why someone wants to have it done,not my thing at all..is it that it increases sensitivity? Or is it just cosmetic tiny?

A bit of both Annie although I'm very happy with the look and sensitivity of my nether region as it is. I've been with a few women that have had it done and I've loved the look of it and the fun playing with it.

I've had it done. Mine also moved while having sex and would get awkward, for that reason I took it out. The pain is not as bad as you think only while getting it done, can be a little uncomfortable for about 10 days. I didn't loose any sensitivity.

I have mine done and love it!

Loss of sensitivity is only an issue if you're piercing the actual clit itself.

Not everyone is anatomically suitable for the VCH, I have a small CH and was borderline ok.

When you get it done, it'll sting like heck for 30 seconds then no more pain. Wear a liner cos you'll bleed a bit for a few hours.

After that, clean it twice a day with salt water ONLY and avoid touching it too much. No fun for 2 weeks at least, especially oral.

Research the shit out of your piercer!

Oh, and avoid a piercer who suggests piercing with a ring! Don't go near anything that's not a titanium bar bell for a minimum of 9 months!

I've had my vertical hood pierced over 5 years ago and have had no issues. The aforementioned 30 seconds of pain, that's to be expected.

I experienced some loss of sensitivity for a couple of weeks post piercing, everything returned to normal after that.

I find it aesthetically pleasing and functional too

I've also had my jewelry changed a few times since. I always get this done by an expert and have had the length of the bar shortened and lengthened depending on my mood.

The most important thing is to research the piercing salon very well, do your homework with regard to aftercare too and stick to best practice for your particular piercing.

I did research for vch, researched guy etc walked into place & walked out again after talking to him.

He did a friend she loved him but i didn't.

Barbell is best & doesn't get in way like ring.

No sex rule varies between piercers have heard 2 weeks have heard 6. Id go with 3 to be safe & then judge. If u get it caught during that time it will need longer, nipples were same & u don't realise how everything rubs off it

Mine is horizontal because I don't have enough depth in the hood for the vertical. I've got a ring in it - not sure you could put a barbell?

Honestly, it hurts for the tiniest second. The most uncomfortable thing is the clamp to hold the skin before the needle goes through.

No play for as long as you wouldn't want someone else's bodily fluids on any other open wound! It does heal quite fast though.

Find a good piercer!

I don't think it's changed my sensitivity, but it does make it easier for guys to find the right spot hahaha. (I swear some guys need a map)

Great advice ladies and thanks for taking the time to give your input. I'm leaning more toward a HCH Piercing with an open circular barbell. Obviously an experienced piercer who knows his/her stuff will be high on my agenda. Thanks again xx
