So you get a mail from some guy..,

You read it, go look at his profile and see you've left yourself a note.. Which reads, mailed me in Jan, I replied not interested.. Mailed again Feb, March, June.

So.. Do you just go block or politely mail not interested again?

Why would we block? If he wants to waste his time endlessly mailing despite the caveat in our profile - knock yourself out, dude

No CJ... He's still not what I'm interested in. If he looked at my profile he'd see that.

I'd block. Why waste your own time reading the same mail over and over again

Personally, I'd block. No point in him or you wasting each other's time .. Maybe there'd be some space in your inbox for me .. Err I mean for somebody else if his messages weren't there

Who wouldn't keep trying is right, I looked at your profile a good while back and you don't meet smokers and I respect that so I never mailed, as for the other I would just block him!

While I agree that it's them wasting their time by continuing to message but I'd be more inclined to block them saves me having to deal with it!

With those notorious rewriters I normally use a bit more clear language if needed, still polite but clearly pointing out that there's no point in contacting again. The block button is an item I use rarely, but not shy using it when everything else fails.

But he must see that hence the mails as mentioned stronger reply or hit the button, I just love those notes

If you're a site supporter you have that option of the note.... it's very handy!!

This is something I don't get. The repeat mailers unless replied to are given a warning so to speak that the person they are about to mail hasn't replied to their last mail so why bother sending another mail

Id just tell them you aren't interested ginger and if that doesn't work just block them.

I wondered about this... does the warning specifically pop up if the other person hasn't responded to the LAST message or if they have never responded? I used to send back a polite "no thanks" to those I wasn't interested in, but then got the same message from them again and again I have a feeling that if you ever responded to them, the warning doesn't pop up.

Yes brown eyed girl , I think if you have ever responded to them the warning doesn't show . I was always reluctant to use the block button , but recently have got more into the swing of it , same , repeat mailers who I have politely told I'm not interested , some of them who've got hostile and abusive . Once a guy mailed me , I read his mail and then went to pour myself a drink and go to the loo , when I got back , like 7 minutes later , he'd messaged me back calling me an ignorant fat cunt , cos I'd read his message and not answered ( in 7 minutes. ). . Jasus , like could he not see I was fat the first time he looked at my profile , lol

I had to block a lady on another site, she just set up a new profile and contacted me again so I deleted my account. Desperate measures.

This has happened to me several times Ginger. I dont think non site supporters can see that they've messaged before.

I take similar notes so after a few times of replying with polite 'no thanks' I end up reminding them of such and saying 'dont take offense but it'll save time for both of us if I just block'.

And that's it, polite but problem solved.
