Filters are a form of sorting of a type.... and then there's that pic with a face request.....so yes we all do it even if not verbally.

I think in general people do have a type, perhaps subconsciously. They are more attracted to people of a certain stature, hair color, Personality type etc.

lol realistically I do ..

Types are for the lazy shits like me on sites like this.. In the real world if I got talking to someone I could hit it off with them .. But on here It's just so many messages that I stick to what I know.
