Ask Mr.Mingo, he's head of the Bavarian chapter. I would have thought it's a bit 'ordnung' for an Irish stag do but...how about Poland or Czech rep(Prague)?

Yes

Carrick on Shannon is the Hen/Stag party hotspot at the moment. The place is buzzing at weekends!

Just a thought!

It depends what your expectations/plans are. If it's just one or two nights out with loads of booze and a bit of a laugh you might as well stay in Ireland and keep the costs down. As Keadue suggested Carrick is just up the road from your place and plenty of hens falling all over the place every weekend but also has some good offers of outdoor activities to get rid of the hangover.

Newcastle in Dublin, the home of Mary Harney? Sure there's nothing there except a graveyard and an industrial estate

To be honest I think people who go abroad for hens and stags are nuts, it's so expensive especially when you consider that a month so later you'll have to go to the actually wedding. I don't see what's wrong with heading dinner and drinks in a near by town

30 of us went on my stag to Amsterdam for five days that included Paddy's Weekend.

Legendary time was had. The lads still talk about it favourably 8 years on.

When I hear the words hen/stag party it always reminds of a hen event that went down in my personal history books: The party comprised 10 ladies of which 6 turned out to be pregnant! Even the waiter got grumpy At 11pm I had to leave the partying crowd and headed straight for a pint in the next pub I could find....

Yes, that's the place. I think there's a couple of small units in there. Cracking place for a stag party!

I've never been in Frankfurt, more known as a financial centre than a fun centre, however I can recommend Munich, Berlin, Cologne, all great cities to have some craic!

If a woman gave head to a man from Frankfurt could she be said to be "eating a frankfurter"?

I've been to Newcastle Amsterdam and Liverpool for stags in the last year and a half. I booked the flights and accommodation for all three and cost wise at most is was about €50 more expensive than anywhere in ireland if you book well in advance.

It really depends on the group of lads going but if it's a wild crew then it's the dam everytime. Use booking . Com we got great discounts on all of the places we stayed.
