If your a registered subbie then you can do your own returns on ROS and doesn't take too long, it's pretty straight forward. The principle should have submitted every invoice you gave them and have registered each payment they made to you. I've only worked for principles but can't imagine subbies are much different.

Best advice I can give you is save yourself €500 and register for ROS if you haven't already done so, then ring the right RCT section (all numbers on revenue.ie, just make sure you pick the right dublin sub section) and ask them what you need to do. I can only sumize that you will need to enter the details of the invoices you have given and payments you received. Shouldn't be too hard

RCT invoices should be 0%, so if 20% is going to revenue they must have issued a deduction letter to the principle to deduct that amount. It's a 20% deduction at source rather then a tax rate. If you don't feel confident about doing it yourself then best to hire an accountant to do it but if I were you I would change my arm and ring revenue first yourself and save yourself afew bob. It's pretty straight forward and they would be able to explain exactly what needs to be done

c35 is a con job.....no holiday money, no sick pay, etc etc all the cards are stacked in the employers favour. and you have to do your own tax returnes
