Best vitamins for immune system

SOMEWHERE ELUSIVE........AND HOT!!!

After a horrible few weeks health wise I need to get my immune system back in one piece again. Can anyone tell me what are the best vitamins to take please?

I was the same and doctor recommended centrum and I find them really good. What I would say too is I now start every morning with a fruit smoothie (mixed fruit including a banana, low fat natural yoghurt and a drop of orange juice) and i feel a lot better. Hope it works for u

Try vitamin C tablets that contain zinc. Milk thistle three times a day is good for liver function and of course, lots of water and green vegetables aswell but sleep and light exercise wins every time. Wishing you a speedy recovery

Multivitamins are thought to be as good as useless for boosting your immune system, several studies have found they have little or no effect. Actual foods containing these vitamins are recommended.

Healthy diet and regular exercise are the best approach, take vitamin D in winter as we don't get enough sun here for our bodies to make it.

Vitamin D - for lack of sun we get

Multi-vitamin - top up all your deficienices

Fish Oil - one with high epa & bpa as we don't eat enough fish and miss out on our omegas(healthy fats)

Zma - something to help you sleep and body recover

Minimum 2 litres of water and 8 hours of sleep!!!

Proibitoc and digestive Enzymes if you having problems with diet for your gut health

Eat natural unprocessed foods, plenty of greens.

Reduce your sugar in take.

Supplement with omegas

Get out in the air for at least a walk.

2+ L of water a day

Yes this is quite true and extensively researched...fresh fresh fresh....reduce your intake of processed foods and increase organic fresh produce. There's isn't a quick fix...but iron levels may lead you to feel lethargic...Guinness is good for that and marmite has a natural yeast in it unlike other yeasts and can be taken by those who cannot take yeast due to allergies. I could go one....lol

Yes but how many ppl has a diet that covers all vitamins and minerals. Most ppl wouldn't have half of the minimum 5 portions of fruit n veg a day. A lot would have none

I try eat the right stuff and take a multivit.

Iv taken lots of brands but pharmaton is the 1 I notice gives me big energy boost and turns my pee the most illuminous. Must be good

Uh yeah, the excess B vitamins are secreted - in other words, you have expensive urine

While there are huge amounts of useless dietary information and so many magic cures and remedies, from the plain simple to the completely idiotic conspiracy theory the pharmaceutical companies don't want us to know, a slice of lemon in warm water in the morning would eliminate you chances of getting cancer by 99.9%

You gotta look at your lifestyle and by that I don't mean swinging so much! And act accordingly! Sometimes there is not a magic cure and depending of what you had you need to give yourself time, "try to eat make sure you don't die of starvation or vitamin overdose in the meantime" (sarcasm people) get well soon but I'm sure there is no need to panic yet

Plus immune system is a funny thing... Would you believe me if I tell you it gets stronger by us getting sick or being exposed to specific pathogens, sometimes the inactive form of a bacteria or virus!

I agree with vitamin D, everything else should come from food.

Vit C, Vit D and fish oils. Also the probiotics. Especially if you've taken a course of antibiotics.
