"They're all mad" what's the likelihood of finding a DUP/UUP supporter on here?

"What a bunch of hypocritical dinosaurs after their opposition of same sex marriage again. They are living in the past along with their marching band The Orange Order and its a sad fact that until these attitudes are gone for good Ireland can't progress as quickly as it can!" Youre hardly surprised. These boys and girls are stuck in the 60's

"They're all mad what's the likelihood of finding a DUP/UUP supporter on here?" I'd say it's pretty high, hypocrisy is a universal currency. Sure didn't Iris have her wee toyboy and got found out ?

"They're all mad what's the likelihood of finding a DUP/UUP supporter on here?" I agree. Only moderates will vote DUP after PRs recent "hang on to power at any cost" debacle. I don't really care about the gay marriage debate but why is it so much worse for DUP to hide behind a POC on it than for SF and SDLP to use a POC on welfare reform?

What's hypocritical? You or I may disagree with their stance but it's consistent and I can't see where they're being hypocritical. Maybe you meant out of touch?

Don't know what the Orange Order has to do with this.... I'm a Unionist and support equal rights for same sex marriage as do many.

The comment re the Orange Order is baffling, the stance taken by the DUP is based on a religious belief that marriage is a union between male/female, politics does not enter into this.

"Having never lived in northern Ireland I wouldn't presume to know anything about the politics of it......but equal rights should extend to everyone its a civil matter not a religious one" ...religion and civil matters are one and the same in ireland ....Catholicism is what defines you as a nation....

Up to 30 years ago yes maybe but modern Ireland no. If religion and civil matters were one in this country we would never even seen a bill being voted on for same sex marriage

"The problem is every election someone keeps voting these people in! I honestly don't know how anyone with good consience could back any of the government parties in the north. Surprised there isn't more talk of storm on on here, after all the place is full of c**ts " The thing is, for most people, gay marriage is a minor issue whereas the green/orange question is how they vote. If you don't like the parties in Stormont then don't complain about them; stand for election yourself.
