How close to home do you consider too close to meet someone off the site ?

Depends on your situation.....if you are married or attached obviously the same town wouldn't be wise......but if single then what does it matter?

Nearby

Would never meet in our own town, its too small, everyone knows everyone and family is all over the place too.

We always travel for meets. I find the further we travel the more relaxed we are.

Galway

We once had a social meet with a couple who live less than 4 miles away. We didn't know each other before the meet and still bump into one another quite often.

The way I figure it is, most people are very discreet about being here so we had nothing to worry about.

Out in the sticks

It depends on status of other person... Have met a married female who lives quite near and no problems!

Everyone has their own reasons for not meeting close to home. It wouldn't bother me. But hubby gets nervous. Each to their own

Prefer to meet people who live a distance away, less chance of problems occuring.

Have known of situations where people have been hassled at work ect by past meets.

Prefer to play it safe.

Don't see the problem with closeness when dealing with an ordinary hopefully rational and discreet fabber. Wish one or two of my lovely neighbours were in the lifestyle. Sigh......
