"Thanks for all the responses, great to see the different opinions. We only have a small house and all rooms except ours are single rooms and I wouldnt be comfortable having people I don't know staying in them. I think I'm leaning towards my house my choice, and then it's totally up the the person of they want to come or not Miss Mcjoy "

"We had a party in our house and we made it quite clear that noone could stay. It is your house and your rules and others must respect that." We would agree. Its your home and people should respect that

"Just looking for people's opinion on something I've been thinking about. How acceptable is it to have a meet in your own home but to ask that your guest/guests leave after playing? We quite often have a free house, but I'm not sure how I feel about having people I don't really know staying the night. We have never had a meet at our house because of this as I feel it may be a little unfair to the person/people who have to travel. Thoughts please? Miss Mcjoy " we often accomadate in our house and no one's stays over night

The nearest place to stay is 10 minutes from our house so there is the option of that I suppose. Miss Mcjoy

"Your house, your rules. I have been lucky enough to have been put up for the night a few times(usually parties) but the odd single meet has allowed me to stay over too. (i must be trustworthy) But i don't get annoyed if i'm told "after you're done, you're gone" That being said miss _cjoy, i'd love a sleepover at yours!" Haha Mr Mingo......... I think sleepovers are off the cards........ who needs sleep anyway!!! Miss Mcjoy

"I wouldn't leave people stay over unless you know them very well you could get up in the morning find them gone and stuff in the house gone as well just saying." Ah no, it's nothing like that at all. I'm a trusting type of person do that wouldn't enter my head and I'm usually a very good judge of character. My issue is that our home is a family home and having strangers staying makes me a little uncomfortable. Miss Mcjoy

It's up to that person then to go along with it or not. If it happened that you were very comfortable with the meet you could then invite them to stay over.

"I would think it's fair enough for strangers not to stay over...but on the other hand if you are comfortable to invite them to your home then you probably would be happy with them staying after... I'd be thinking this would only happen on repeat meets when a level of trust has been established.. "

"If it doesn't feel right, then don't do it,it would just play on your mind and quite possibly, take the focus of having fun. Explain CLEARLY that you prefer them to leave and there should be no hassle. It is after all your family home,no one or nothing should interfere with you and your home place." See, this is it...... Home is very important to me and I'd be very upset if anyone or anything upset the balance here. Miss Mcjoy
