It's an awful illness, life is short enough as it is without it being any shorter from having an illness like cancer.....

Just commenting to reinforce cancer awareness. It's a disease that can be recovered from if caught on time. Thing is though we are all guilty of ignoring illness or lumps n bumps. Start checking yourselves guys n dolls.

My town

Lost my mum to cancer three years ago. She beat the illness a few times but in the end it took her.

Probably the sad thing she was given the all clear in December and it finally got again 8 months later and she lost her battle ...

You can always visit the mobile breast check unit that's at most hospitals girls and get checked out there they also show you how to check your breasts for any lumps or inconsistencies in your breasts and nipple color that can occur so your aware what to look for yourself self awareness is vital ladies so don't be afraid to pop along to the units and get checked out and learn how to do it yourself

Hugs to all who have lost loved ones, my brother had a tumour on his kidney and the cancer spread to his lungs. Thankfully he is presently in remission but has to be monitored regularly. Any doubt get checked. If it's in the family get checked. Hugs (((())))

I don't think there is one person in our island that hasn't been touched by cancer, be it family or friends, if our so called big nations but more into cancer research than war, just might fine a cure faster, one can hope.

Really?? Google!!! I'm sure there would be something on there. The thing is you get to know your body. And would bs able to tell after a few self exams. I always do it in the shower. Once a month and it takes literally 2 minutes. Same for men.

Trim

This desease can strike anybody, regardless of their age, lifestyle, or any other factor....

I've known 2 ladies with cancer, 1 diagnosed when she was 27, only 'caught' when admitted to hospital for tests, unfortunately it was too late and proved terminal, another in her late forties who had put off getting tested because 'she was so fit and felt great'. Luckily she's been in remission for a few yrs now. And her advice to everyone nowadays is: its its never too early to start getting tested
