Verification

Hi all,

Just a quick question. I have posted a verification for someone I met recently and having finished typing it up via the "Verify genuine" option on their profile, the site said that "This verification has been saved" or words to that effect.

However the person has not received any notification of my verifying them, and it's now more than 24 hours since I posted the verification.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

If you are on the same IP address I don't think the verifications save

Hi Miss Samara,

When you say the "Same ip address", what so you mean exactly? You mean the same ip address as the other person who I am verifying? I wasn't using the same ip address as the other person when I posted the verification. (In fact I posted a second verification several hours later, received the same response "this verification has been saved"). I posted the second verification as i thought the first one hadn't worked , but alas neither did the second attempt

If the person has logged into a device or used your internet you have used for fab the verification won't save as it would use the same ip address. I would suggest contacting admin too.

Thanks Belfast.....

I've looked at the FAQ and while they answer several questions regarding verifications, they don't address my specific issue, (That of "The verification is now saved", but it not appearing on the recipient's profile).

I've messaged admin and will await the outcome.

Thanks all for your help.

Can see why that makes sense to stop fake verifications but does that not mean that if two profiles share a hotels wifi during a meet they cant verify each other?

You don't have to write the verification then and there and you should better spent all your time having fun and not surfing the site and the net during a meet! just a thought or what I would do...

As far as I'm aware if 2 profiles are set up on the same device the verifications will not show up.

Kearman, You Sir have hit the nail on the head so to speak

That is exactly the reason. The other person was looking for people in an older age group but I just snuck in there lol (I've been in touch with the person in the past hour and if they change they age preferences, my Verification will be published automatically on their profile

Thanks for clarifying .
