I've heard of some people bringing along a small gift to a meet.

Is it very common,does everyone do it ?

I've often brought gifts on a meet...

Sure why not?

It might be a bottle of wine or even a small gift that relates to a previous conversation I've had with the recipient, it might be a small token but there's always a meaning or relevance

My last meet gave me a bottle of cola bottle scented handwash,probably because when I saw it in her bag I couldn't believe it and thought it was funny.I had brought a bottle of wine with me so twas a fair swap,lol.

As far as I know it's the receiver who decides what to do with the gift

I've had a few gifts over my years on Fab... Chocolates, dinner, tickets to a 6 Nations game and a long weekend in Barcelona.

I've given small gifts to guys who had had me in their homes.
