A Lions Hill Poem

As the Lion is perched up on his hill

time around him simply stands still

he reads your messages and your posts

giggling away to himself eating tuna and toast

he glares over at the sea

wishing the lioness where next to he

but as he knows he must wait

until next weekend for our next date

so as he shares his food with the birds

hes just expressing these few words

so if your in galway and hear a lion roar

dont be afraid and lock your front door

yes hes big and mighty and ever so strong

but judging him by his appearance is ever so wrong

so as he finishes his snack and heads home

he knocks over irish water signs wishing they would leave galway alone
