Just wondering as it's been a few years for me. But as I was on my to the shops just now I met a woman just down the road from me. She was out the front pruning rose bushes or otherwise interfering with them and said hello as I approached. I was going to do the same thing as I have necer seen her before but she beat me to it.

Anyway, we get chatting and she says she has only lived in the street since April. We chat for about 5 minutes and I ask her where is she from, turns out she is Polish.

Anyway nice friendly lady in her early 40's I guess. I say look, I better go and walk off. After a few seconds she turns around and says hey, if you want to come in for a cup of tea sometime I'm always home in the evening. I say ok, I will, say goodbye and head on my merry way.

So I'm going to take her up on her offer in a few days. Sounds like a girl that knows what she wants and nice and confident. I like meeting woman by chance like that when I'm out and about and least expect it.

So, when was the last time you met someone the old school way, in this age of internet dating and apps?

It was around 2010-11 for me but I chased after her for a little while. She was working in a convenience store.

I still see her every other week and we go for walks and talk crap but no shagging or anything. She was very touchy I remember, when I put my hand on her back after she invited me back to her place and cooked me some rashers and shit, and only allowed me a kiss on the cheek. I gave up after that.

She was a little crazy or christian or something and about 10 years older than me.

Last weekend in a night club. Didn't really count as we were d*unk as skunks.

Last time I chatted up/pulled sober was in the city library just after Christmas. Got talking to a French girl, went for coffee and one thing lead to another. In a sucker for a foreign accent.

All the time, I meet people the real way a lot more than online.

I had a woman offer to buy me a cup of tea once, for no reason.

I was invited into a womans house after seeing her struggle with a bag and helping her carry it.

I don't meet people from online often.

A few weeks ago. Met the workmates for racing and beers afterwards. Headed into town and ended up in a club. Honestly, had absolutely zero interest in pulling. None. Half an hour into being there this girl made a beeline for me. Caught my hand and pulled me onto the dance floor. I danced for a minute and soon as I had a chance I skulked away and let her dancing with the group. She came after me again and eventually I said 'Fuck it, she's making the effort' so I hung around. Ye know the rest..

The lads asked me did I get her phone number. I told them I had forgotten. Looking back now I didn't really want it.

Vinyl.

Making a possible comeback? Starting to see vinyl sections in a lot of music shops lately.

Love vinyl. Love the crackling noise from it.
