Really annoyed with the amount if time wasters and false profiles on here. I'm long enough here to to spot most of them. But I'm still getting caught out and my free time is scarce and valuable.

Can there not be some system to them, like if 3 verified report the same profile as a time waster they are deleted and IP recorded so that they can't set up as a new user.

I feel this site has good potential and I have met some genuine lovely people on it. Now I'm starting to feel that the time invested in it is wasted time.

What's people's ideas on this?

And just as a by the way, I can change IP address in various different ways ranging in time period from 30 secs to 5 mins depending on what method I desire.

Regardless, I take your point - time wasters are frustrating. However it really is down to you to be more selective as the best solution.

You can change ip in 1 second, 30 seconds is a long time.

I could also have 5 ids logged in on the same comouter in different windows all with a different ip.

All the big sites stopped using ip tracking in the 90s

My 30 seconds included taking the time to decide "oh ill change IP, click a few buttons, pick me nose, and click ok".

Lol with your last statement.

To get 3 people together to ban someone because they don't like them is a nasty thing to do. I don't believe that there are too many like that on here. Nasty people tend to not have too many friends that think like them.

Sounds like a really bad idea to me, could see malicious reporting by the little gangs of buddies against anyone they don't want playing in the schoolyard.

Besides, who says someone is a "timewaster" just because you chatted for ages and they didn't meet you? Maybe after getting to know you, they just didn't like you.

I say they are a time waster because my definition of that is someone who agrees to meet after numerous messages and phone calls and then at time of meeting calls it off with no excuse or apology.

I don't think there is any doubt that there are many of them on here.

Any positive comments to avoid this or a way to spot them

Just stick to we'll verified established people, not fair on gen newbies but taking a chance whether they show or not isn't for us

They had a verification which i found now, turns out to be a hidden profile that cant be viewed. Its a bit fishy.

Ill get over it just annoyed as i cancelled a job to attend the meet.
