by a lake with my rod out

try the stenaline 24hr sail and rail you get 24hrs( or the first ferry after 24 hrs) from the time you arrive. I used to get Iit a lot when I lived in Wrexham. you can also join up to the stena frequent sailing club thing you get points for everything and u can use them for free crossings etc

Its cheaper than going from Holyhead according to directferries.ie which is like a ferry comparison site. P&O seem to be only one covering that route. P&O website says from 68 each way at moment so see if you can get heads up on dates and book in advance I guess is only option. Get saver ticket which is no frills and non flexi saving varies but 12 min on quote I called up. If its cheaper traveling Monday in August you have bed to crash on here.

Check out Liverpool - Belfast too.

Belfast harbor to Blanchardstown is 2hr 20min according to aa route planner so if its a lot cheaper might be worth a look.

Its mainly motorway down, think 1 toll on road thats all.

"Is it cheaper to fly "

Sadly not with all the luggage that he brings over.

Excess baggage charges would kill saving.
