evening all

Just a curious question, interested to hear peoples views on it.

We have had aprox 20 winks in the last day or so.(not sleep

no pun intended)

But Not one mail to accompany it, we have mailed off to a few that caught our eye from aformentiond winks, only to see the mail deleated with not so much as a bye your leave?

So first what do people think is happening here?

Second are winks a waste of time?

Lastly we are not bothered by this just curious thats all.

We think the idea behiend it is good, kinna like ohh like your profile come check us out, and if you like mail us.

Well thats what we think its surpossed to be, guess its a bit lazy really.

I like winks. If I like a profile, I might wink, if I get a wink back I will send a message.

It's a nice way to start a convo without investing time to write a nice message to profiles that simply bin it. If there is a wink, at least we have established an initial interest, so I am happier to spend time on writing down few words.

Yeah I like winks. I like getting them (cough, cough) but are you running the risk when sending a wink to a profile you really like only for them to delete them because they get so many of them, just like Lolli has described.

Hi thanks formyour view.

We look at them then mail the ones that interest us, but then see the mail was deleted, after the peeps had initiated the wink...noone has tackeled the this part of the question

and the accounts that delete the mail, are they verified by meeting in person or not. if they are not meet verified then they are just time wasters who shit their pants when you mail back. if they are meet verified then i cant answer why! (twin peaks music in the background)

They are a virtual birdsong, and can be very entertaining.

In the real world, whenever I'm in the supermarket and I see a woman picking up a cucumber, I give them a little wink and a smile... mainly just to see how many go red and put it back.

Willow I totally get what u are saying,but here's the scenario,I have no pics displayed,I have no veris displayed,I have very little on my profile,and yes i have my filters turned on,and yet I have 568 messages in my inbox. I am sorry but for me to read and reply to all of these I would need to genuinely sit and just do that,no bathroom breaks,no food breaks,no sleep oh and lets not forget that as I am online,those messages are ever increasing.

For me it actually upsets me that I cant reply as I would pride myself on treating people as I like to be treated myself,with that volume of messages however that is really impossible.

And i am very much aware that within those messages are replies to messages I have sent myself to friends etc that I may have missed.

So I conclusion willow it is not that single males are not worthy of a reply,it is just physically impossible to reply to everyone and apologies if that offends.

Both the wink and friend request are ignored..

I'll read the profile, then the mail and reply accordingly (unless it's a wanna fuck or just a "hi")

As for volume of mail.. It will ease off.

Do a bulk delete poster above. I'm sure the same guys will re mail you soon enough.

If we receive a wink,we will wink back if we like the look if the profile .The balls then in their court to mail us ,if they don't we move on .now people who send a wink and a friend request at the same time will most likely be ignored .

Proposal: people are winking after firing through the 'browse' section because of your lush avi, then you message the winker so they go in for a closer look now they got a bite, see there's only 1 pic, nothing to fantasize over & now they're not actually interested so they delete your message.

This has happened me so many times I now just ignore winks completely unless its just a friend on a drive thru..lol

..i feel its usually fakes and heavily ego'd types who maybe wink at 30/40 profiles in the same night possibly to garner fabs/attention
