So as a female I get a lot of mail.

I reply to most, if it's not a "hi" or a "fancy a fuk" type thing.

So guys, you send a mail. It's read.. She replies, sorry not interested or its read, deleted.. Both showing disinterest.

Which do you prefer? The ego dint or just let it fade away?

I get tonnes of mails,I hate the 'hi' or the 'hows you' but I reply to every single one,with no thanks,but sometimes you get a well thought out mail,I then look at a profile and reply properly!

I think guys have it the hardest tho,I have a copy and paste option on my phone it only takes a second to say "no thanks"

I think not replying is unfair but that's just my opinion

Why not give effective feedback to help the person improve their chances with others. We all get a little snobbish at times on here. If someone says hi or how are you then that's not really bad is it? If they say wanna fuck then that's different. I would say" thanks for the mail, I'm not interested however you will have better luck in future is you introduced yourself and maybe engaged me, first impressions are important"

I've used this response on more than one occasion, only to have received abuse on return. Or, why are you not interested? I try reply to all mail, but have overlooked one or two simply because of the content of the mail or they haven't taken the time to read my profile

I believe certain people are very snobby, others aren't!

It doesn't take long to reply, i might not do it straight away but i do to most

there are people here who think they are too good for others , i avoid them as being stuck up is something i really dislike

Why annoy anybody? That's just being mean for the sake of being mean! I know there's some knobheads out there that can't take no for an answer but most of us blokes on here are decent and only wanting the same thing as the ladies do. Good manners and politeness cost nothing.

It's just not always possible to reply to every mail, mix in invites and questions and queries for the social on top of wanna meet mails and it's just too much, apologies for anyone who is offended if I don't reply but as I said, I don't have the time to sit on my phone and reply to 100s of mails all day every day

On the flip side I send off mails on Pof and rarely ever get a reply, doesn't bother me, I take it as not interested and I appreciate they don't wanna waste my time, I would prefer no reply to a "no thanks" mail, a no thanks would make me feel worse about myself then a non reply!

Just be honest tell ppl sorry not for me/us. If they let their ego get hurt it's their fault.

Yes it can be very hard to get back to all the mail And some ppl don't like been made to wait.

I get so many messages it takes me ages to get around to doing anything like coming here or into chat each time I log on so I will admit I'm guilty of not replying. It's easier to press the delete and open next button than it is to reply then go back to mail to open another.

I have it written on my profile though not to expect a reply if I'm not interested and if they read that I hope they respect it. I'm not trying to be rude I just don't have the time!

From a personal point of view I don't mind either a no thanks or no response. I think both of them mean that someone isn't interested so it doesn't make a difference to me.

It's usually me (ms) that replies to our mails on here and I try to reply to everyone but sometimes it's not possible. I might reply a few days later but I try to get there. I very rarely see a bad response to a no thanks but it is there so I can definitely see why people don't respond.
