There's a place I'm Connemara called glenlosh valley. A couple own the valley and they have built all the cottages themselves. Lovely place .

City

I was down the beach and spotted this lovely little cottage that looks like it belongs on grand designs.

We rented it out for a trial period, see how it goes.

I have two suggestions for you in Cork, and I've been fortunate to have stayed in them on a few occasions.

Cashelfean, its an area of coastline along Dunmanus Bay, its completely remote and unspoilt, yet close to wonderful villages, restaurants, and things to do. Locations and properties are absolutely breathtaking beautiful. The houses are spacious, well specified and equipped, exquisitely maintained, and above all private. I would rate them as five star.

Another one worth considering is the Boathouse at Inishbeg in Cork, it has all the above plus a pool, which might be handy depending on the time of year your using it.
