An alternative post by me.

Thank you to the good people of Fab who voted Yes today.

For most of you it's not a big deal. For me it is. My brother is gay. I've witnessed all his pain, all his hurt, all his dreams, all his wishes.

I am lucky that I spend most of my time with the gay community of Ireland. All I've ever witnessed is happiness, love and joy.

Who know's how the voting will go tomorrow. I'm nervous, if truth be told.

I'm afraid how my brother and my gay friends will react if its a No.

But if it's a Yes, I can guarantee that it will be the best party that Ireland have ever seen!

I shall revert to be an opinionated prick after this weekend. But for the moment, I'm a humbled boy who wants the best for my brother, my friends and everyone in this country.

I thank you so much.

All you've ever witnessed is happiness joy and love?

Willow, you make gay people sound like a people apart. Gay people can be moody opinionated grumpy nasty just like hetero people.

Why? Because they are EXACTLY the same as hetero people, no better. No worse .

We should be celebrating this fact rather than contributing to the notion they are "different".

I hope you all voted "yes" neighbours.

My nephew is gay,and is living with his partner,my best friend is also gay she's already living with jen for yrs,and they both hope to marry,I also have a sister in law who did marry through civil partnerships...

I campaigned long and hard I've had doors closed in my face and people I know getting upset with me because I publicly went out and asked for a yes vote!

But all I can say now is it was worth every minute of it!!!
