Yep i did it a few yrs ago when i had fallen out of shape...real hard going and i did complete it with the exception of 1 or 2 days during it. You cant fail to get results from it, its just that hard

Exercising hard 6 days a week, eating healthily and people are still surprised they get results. Great marketing plan.

Dublin West

The Focus T25 program is a bit easier but still gets good results.

Its worth checking out.

I agree but some need something like insanity to give them a gear up to get going

Insanity is great for functional fitness; all those squats, and thrusts,.

The diet is so important, however. The most important part.

80% of it is diet, the rest is sweating when doing a workout. 60 mins non stop. If doing weights, in between sets do some core work. Keep the heart rate elevated

I got a loan of the pack off a friend about two years ago. I thought I was kinda fit at the time but jesus was I wrong. My diet was pretty good but I did slip the odd weekend. Bit of advice, if you can avoid booze do so. Fantastic results but you have to be willing to carry on the diet and lower intensity workouts after

City

It depends what you want.

Insanity and trx and the rest of them kind of things work well for someone in good shape who has lost a bit of ooomph from their workout, taken time off etc and needs to get some mojo back.

You typically wont get the bodies on the adverts from them, cause they dont build muscle. So they work, but you might not get the exact body you hoped for.

Science all ready knows what the best is. Its 20 seconds of extreme intensity exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest then extreme inetsity and rest, and keep going for 4 mins. This allows you all the benefits of cardio while allowing you to still do weight training to build muscle.

You do this with a weight lifitng program and you will lose weight, get fitter, increase endurance, build muscle etc.

Problem is, 4 mins of extreme intensity exercise is actually too much for a lot of people, so you have to work up to it.

Diet is ultra important on something like insanity, but its less important if you lift weights alternating with extreme intensity. People have gotten shredded eating 1 3000 cal meal a day while working out etc.

Some people graze eating everything they see and getting shreded.

Others allow themselves sugar snacks after exercise and get shreded etc.

Just remember, if you ever see a really great body, toned, etc, then its something they worked on for a few years, slow and steady and they didnt get there in a month.
