Are you saying the Pool went for Barry but ended up with Keane

The reality is Alonso went off form for 18 months prior to the Barry link, he then had a stormer of a season, he and his partner decided a return to Spain was best for their new born and the following summer left.

Rick Parry signed Keane, who then couldn't believe he was being left out in favour of Gerrard/Torres

Now the title of this thread would indicate Manu trumped LFC to Depay, this guy was always going to OT as LVG knows him. The Pool link is nonsense

Fair enough but Alonso is pure clas,I know it's all ifs and buts like how much of a difference would this year have been if alonco was in the pool team all football

How much different would Manu be with Rinaldo or Tevez

Pool problem is no striker!!

How different would the season have been if Sturridge stayed fit??

No different. ...

He never did it at City or Chelsea ...I'd score goals playing alongside Suarez. ...

I think the pool would be foolish to let Sterling go and spend the money on Milner...

That would be like selling Torres and buying Carol

Or worse selling Suarez & buying Ballotelli...

All this is academic. ...

Liverpool, Tottenham, Everton, Stoke. .etc play in their own mini league. ..

Obviously this is Ollie not Apples...she believes that it's a silly rule about removing shirts...

That's a remarkable statement!

Sturridge is England's no 1 striker and when Suarez was suspended on both occasions da Pool did well.

Sterling is overrated and can go, Ibe is better at 19 than Sterling was.

And milner is on a free mate

Millner will cost £200,000/week....or 36 million over his contract....less bonuses. .mind you, probably won't be getting many of those...lol

As for England's first choice. ..

Even Hodge-podge would pick Kane & Rooney as a striking pair ahead of Sturidge...no?

I think depay could turn out to be an excellent signing. It has been said today he turned Liverpool so they were in for him. Hopefully United will go after benteke too...

Liverpool never bid for him, an enquiry was made earlier in the season but as soon as LVG was on the scene he was always OT bound.

The same article says he chose Many cos of Champions League football. Nothing is certain yet, this is lazy journalism!
