Wonder what odds would get for Dublin football hurling double all Ireland????? Dublin looked very strong last weekend. Didn't deserve to be beaten by cork.

I'm a Dubs fan, but to be fair, Cork were brutal yesterday. Three, or was it four scores from play over 70 minutes against a non defensive team. Woeful. As for the hurling, tradition isn't what's stopping Dublin from winning championships, the lack of guile, ruthlessness and the ability to kill off teams when they have a commanding lead is the problem there. They're still lacking a few key players. Hopefully the conveyer belt from underage level will produce the goods soon.

9 provincial titles in the last ten years, including 2 all Ireland titles, and three consecutive league title yet that's your definition of choke football??

...monaghan has 31 senior clubs... and a population of about 60.000....im sure you can tell me about Dublin. ..lol..I notice you didn't address my other points. .

The obvious point there is that none of the counties you mention have anything resembling the number of All Ireland titles that Dublin have.

The argument about population and number of clubs is not a valid one. Dublin has an enormous population but has a drastically lower percentage of people playing gaelic football. There is possibly no other county where the competition from other codes is as prevalent and there is possibly no other county where so many people have inter county loyalties outside the county they play their club football in. Dublin clubs don't have the same gate receipts as rural counties either, for the most part, and the parish loyalty that is so important to most counties doesn't exist to the same extent in Dublin.

look guys people from places like monsghan are sp jealous of dubin AND kerry .they comeup with this population thing .other sports are played in dublin and we put the time and money i to developing gaa in the capitol .of ut was all about the pooulation .china or russia should will all the world cups .india should win all the cricket ..etc etc .move on .you have to go oytsude the county for a manager ..cop on .dublin v jerry final in sept .live with it...and you know when kerry beat us it doeznt seem so bad .because they also know how to play the game .no parking the bus

.....of course your right. ..only two teams in Ireland. ..dublin and kerry.....ok you won two all Ireland thropies....how many finals and semi's did you lose under gilroy and gavin..?...thats my point. ..on the big day...
