hey guys, sorry for the completely off topic post. Tomorrow Friday the 24th is national special Olympics collection day, if you see a volunteer on your travels (or through their website) tomorrow if you can please donate something small. It's an amazing cause and it'd be helping so many special children and adults throughout the country.

That's such a huge achievement for your friends son, it'll be such an amazing experience

I know how much it took to fundraise when a group of kids from the club I'm involved in got to the national finals in Limerick so it's going to be ten times harder to get the group of athletes to LA but it'll be well worth it

I'll be out bright and early tomorrow with my bucket

Donated again today outside dunes stores in tralee some presentation school girl are collecting for the charity

Done it there this morning at the traffic lights at palmerstown such a good cause and I always do support.. a friend of mine about a year after doing the leaving cert crashed his motorbike and was left paralysed and won gold at the last Olympics... That man is one of a kind the way he got on with things

The sooner they change the name of that the better

"Special"

Very derogatory term to use

I work with people who will be participating in some of the events and it's the one thing they hate about it.

We've gotten rid of some of the other words that were used in the past to describe a person with an I.D or physical disability

Let's hope this gets wiped too.

Aargh why didn't I read this sooner, my box woulda been very happy with that

Was in the swords area, it's really bad that I kept wondering if anyone that came up to me was on fab or hoping that they were
