It's Monday night I've already been to one funeral this week and have another one ahead of me. People need to learn to talk to people and seek help with their issues such a waste of life isn't right

I did last year's in the park and plan on doing it again this year. something needs to be done, I can't understand how one can end their life while another is fighting to add to the few short years that they've been given

I've had people close to me kill themselves, it rips families apart. Not sure how I feel about it to be honest apart from a lot of misdirected anger.

Most people don't know what's its like to live with crippling depression.

I was told once it's about choice. It's their right to chose not to live.... Maybe over simplistic especially when you take into account mental illness

"Most people don't know what's its like to live with crippling depression."

And most who do don't know how to describe it to others, including medical people.

OP, I'm sorry for your losses, it's hard to come to terms with any death, but a sudden, seemingly inexplicable one is much harder.

Nice to see the supportive nature here. We are also due to do walk. Shocked to see so many affected by suicide. The scourge of silence that surrounds depression and the relative isolation experienced puts more pressure on the person and on all associated with the person concerned. We need to stop societies fear and suspicion of depression and do it now before others die needlessly. And always remember if u spend ur whole life waiting for the storm ul never enjoy the sunshine. One day at a time at ur pace and others will wait for u to catch up.

Suicide is the biggest cause of death in males under 50 in the UK. Frightening.
