Weirdest reason you've cancelled

What's the weirdest reason (and true) that you've had to cancel a meet or leave one early.. Mine was when I met for coffee and the school called to say one of my kids had been stung in head by a bee and they were freaking out in case he was allergic.. Really don't think he believed me but it was true!

I bumped into my sister on my way to a fab meet (she didn't know obviously) and told me my breath stank of garlic, completely forgot I had garlic at lunchtime, so I cancelled with an excuse about the kids

My dog ate my homework!...

Oh sorry that was an excuse for something else

I've cancelled due to migraines or being held up at work.. but nothing weird I think.

Why didn't you just go buy some chewing gum instead?..

Absolutely no way he would have smelt it off his lad

Chewing gum doesn't mask the smell of garlic

If it's very strong smelling gum it helps mask it, either way a garlic smell is not worth cancelling a meet over in my opinion.

I'd to cancel a party at last minute once as I got chest pains and had to go to A & E to get myself checked out, nothing serious thankfully, some drugs sorted it. My body picked a fine time to spring that one on me, 7pm on a saturday evening, not the best time to go to A and E. Didn't get out of there till 2am or so. Thankfully the hostess knew me and knew my excuse was genuine.

Wouldn't stop me either.. If just make sure we went for something to eat and I'd 'encourage' them to eat something very garlicky

Chewing some parsley helps get rid of a garlic smell from the mouth

I think that's more for a decorative effect king,, eating chopped parsley can remove the remaining traces of garlic to soak up the odour

Eating huge amounts of garlic can come through the pores from perspiration etc,,,it's not pleasant

I had to cancel going to a party once as I was travelling with a friend and I'd had a few glasses of wine with dinner only for her to cancel me with a lame ass chicken out excuse..

I was fuming.. It was too far to risk driving myself so I was left all dressed up, horny, slightly tipsy and no where to go.

Needless to say I don't rely on her driving anymore..

Bolted out of a coffee meet a few years back. She showed up with a toddler in tow. That's not a problem. She asked could I give the toddler a bottle with she rang her other half. I did but bolted soon after via the old "call you 20 minutes into your meet" call from a fabber mate.

I met a lady once with a toddler in a pram for a coffee Lucky the toddler fell asleep and we ended up in the baby changing room in a shopping center. Got a super bj and when we came out there was a few mummy's and babies waiting. Don't know did they realise what was happening

Iv had things happen to me on days of meets and wouldn't cancel as they sounded like timewasters excuses,my grandmothers funeral,my uncles funeral, car breakdowns, got a flat tyre in girls car once on drive from my house to local pub to meet a couple, changing wheel on a hill and car rolled off jack, had to sprint the mile home and get my jack. Made all those meets tho
