I've found if you have a fabbers number stored in your phone it links to facebook and the person comes up in the who you may know section.

Easy to unregister your phone number under settingsmobile

From there you can choose what number your fb account is linked through.

Limerick

If you unsync your number you will still see suggestions of people still when they synced but they won't get suggestions for you if that makes sense. Facebook is minefield.

I've noticed this a few times but it's only the ones who have my number (which I only give to a very select few) so it doesn't bother me I would never ever send a friend request there unless I absolutely trust them 100%

Exactly this ^^^

That why I'm not worried about it,

Sure I've nothing to hide either

One of the lad's had his work phone connected to all the other company phones by the cloud.

After a dirty weekend away with his wife we kept getting photos of her bent over tables ect..

I don't allow FB to use my phone contacts but it seems a lot of people do.

A guy I met twice came up in people I may know and guess what? He got married in between the two meets we had. He's lucky I just blocked him.

Be careful people

It happens too if you use facebook and fab on desktop, its not just mobile number related. I get suggestions of people who I recognise as swingers from parties etc and I put it down to your browser linking your site access, I access swing sites and facebook and 'Joe Bloggs' accesses swing sites and facebook so you may have something in common.

I always think the suggested friends who I share no common friends with are being suggested for this reason, it has been the case when I recognise them as swingers....... we have never shared contact details, we have no friends in common but yet they are suggested. Personally I would prefer if strangers who think they recognise me from this environment didn't send friend requests. If you don't already have my external contact details then I probably don't want you on my facebook. On the laptop clearing browsing history, cookies etc usually puts an end to it for a little while.

Ye, we told him eventually but his wife now has the title of " luscious Laraine ".

Lucky she never found out about it.

Company social nights have never been the same and it's understandable why he's always in a hurry home after a weeks work
