Life is life. Its the parole boards desicion to allow early release. Average life sentences at min is approx 12 years but there are some serving less and more.

Ive been reading up on it recently...I was actually beginning to worry they might find him innocent.

He'll probably serve 12 yrs max!

He's one sick fucker..

times like this reminds me of Larry Murphy he done his time kept his silence he's in my eyes responsible for so many women going missing but it can't be proved but he's a dangerous man walking free and I'm sure Dwyer will walk free in a few years too

I decided not to follow the whole court case, with every day that passed it became more disturbing.

How anyone can cause intentional harm to a man or woman boggles the mind.

He will be in section E and no one will get near him. If he behaves himself he will be out in 8 years.

I don't think so..I think he will still be in prison in twenty years...The reason I say that is, he had planned to kill other women. That won't go down well with the parole board when it's coming towards the end of his sentence..

Not necessarily. Life is now an average of 17 years but the Parole Board can refuse parole. Malcolm McArthur was kept in for 30 years. Larry Murphy was sentenced to 15 yrs and for some reason only served 10

A solicitor friend of mine predicted last week that the jury would convict the bastard but that he could be released on appeal

I think its strange someone can be sent to jail for murder based on text messages and no actual proof.

I mean there was equal proof she took her own life.

I mean its fairly obvious he probably did it, its just a worry that they can send people to jail for txts and thoughts.

Why? Judges will probably let him out for the reasons I said anyway, so I would have saved the taxpayers lots of money.

nothing that judges do would suprise me...

and if u did save the taxpayer's some money. sure won't the government just give it to the bond holders anyway, instead of using it for the good of the people.

No he gets life average life sentence is about 18 years in prison but they always have a life sentence, any breach of conditions they can go straight back, there are people serving over 30 years AFAIK there is a guy who has done over 50 years( in fairness though he doesn't want to leave) so it doesn't mean Dwyer will be out in the average or anything like that a good guide is that he has been in custody since his arrest, refused bail by every court he went to including the supreme court, so I doubt he will ever see the outside again.

Yeah she took her own life after she parked her car up where he asked to meet her and before or after she threw her car keys in the reservoir miles from where her body was found

You can't prove that didn't happen, people committing suicide do illogical things. They visit graves and cry, go to isolated places, throw their keys away they dont need them, cry, walk, end their life.

There is loads more evidence being told now that was heard in court that wasn't revealed to the public. Heard one journalist say today they were restricted in what they could publish.

O Dwyer is also under investigation over other missing women.

There was no direct evidence he done it but there was a lot of circumstantial evidence against him

Like you said there can be more than 1 explanation for an individual piece of circumstantial evidence like the text messges but it was the accumulation of all the evidence together that pointed the finger at him

A jury can convict on just circumstantial evidence

Yeah and she just happened to throw away the sweatshirt Dwyer was wearing in the CCTV as well, like Hal says it is the accumulation of circumstantial evidence not just texts or thoughts.
