It's called the butter exchange it is a building dating back to the 18 century

It is where traders went to exchange their wares

It's called the butter exchange it is a building dating back to the 18 century

I watched an interesting documentary about butter and they explained why butter used to be salty. It was to preserve the product and allow long distance transportation. As soon as the fridge was invented, most producers stopped salting the butter. I love butter...
