I suppose my reluctance stems.from the time i went to see. Grandmother in. Hospital . When i arrived at the ward i remember her face light up and her. Outstretched arms. I was 9 years old and before i could make it across the ward a stone faced nurse stopped me and said no children on the ward. My grandmothers face dropped as i was. Sent to the common room to watch the match on a black and white tv while my father visted my grandmother. Upset and confused as why i couldn't see my grandmother i watched the game. She died that evening and u never forget her face as i was sent away. So every time i hear of rugby im sent back to that cold Feb day.
