Im talking as an hour of TV its a waste not what they do. I commend everyone who looks after their health. But they still go about it all wrong. Weight is not the issue its body fat and until we deal with BMI its never going to fix the health of the nation. Getting weighed infront of a panel of gutless judges giving out to you for drinking a few beers ffs.

Fair play... Changing for yourself is the most important thing,

if your not happy about something change it regardless of what people say to put ya off

I have real admiration for people what want to change.

I understand how difficult it is to get to where u wanna be. I used to be a size 30 and weighed 21st so to able to say im now a 18/20 and still transforming it makes me proud of myself.

I'm doing an operation tranformation programme in my local gym for 10 weeks. Not telling you where that is!! Results are amazing.Have lost 16 pounds in 6 weeks and 5,5 inches round my waist and unfortunately also lost some inches around my chest lol.....Plan consists of meal plans, personal training and group lessons! Fair play to all who are busy transforming!! It just takes that first step!!

"Its a great programme, really gives people the help they need to start there weightloss journey...

Fact! !!"

How's that fact? I give you a fact. A girl who was in it a few years ago gained twice as much as she lost during the program.

Another fact: I'm overweight and I don't find this program inspirational.

Unless you have the will to lose weight you won't lose weight. I don't think such program can inspire someone doing this without the extra support people on the telly receive.

Well I've no pity for that girl to be honest, She was brought on the programme shown what to do, what to eat etc.. So after the cameras stop rolling its up to her..

I agree with ya that if you deep down don't want to lose weight you won't, What inspires one person wont inspire others..

I don't watch this programme just wondering do they tackle the issue why the contestants over eat. (I.e. the psychology) watched a brilliant programme on weight loss on BBC. It was a big experiment and one of the key results was to understand your reason for your eating habits.

It's good that bringing obesity to exposure in this country and there needs to be an education on it.

Few issues I have though

1. Weight - weighing scales are people's worst enemy..

Body fat is the main issue not the weigh, now people who are obese will need to lose the weight but eventually they will plateau and get hung up on the scales rather than being strong, fit and measurements

2. Food... portion size seems to be small and once again once you hit the plateau In a few months how are you going to make your calorie intake smaller again doesn't work that way. Also cereal is on the list seriously!!!

3. 5K run... the target is to getting to do the run which is good to have target but jogging is Cardio and very good but eventual again only way to improve is longer distance or faster times and eventually it gets impossible. So weight training is the quickest and strongest way of losing FAT and weight

4. Look at the Govt. Food Pyramid that is the issue.... Grains 5/6 times a day WTF

Till this is fixed we will always have a problem

Rant Over sorry not sorry!

We have to be happy with our bodies regardless what weight we are!! I've spend most of my life not liking my body....what a waste of time! I now like my body and appreciate that I'm healthy. Loosing weight wasnt my goal when starting the gym but it's a great bonus!
