Hey guys, just wondered what's the story with guys giving out their phone numbers? Is it the norm? I would never give out my phone number unless I was chatting a while and/or really liked the person!! Do guys really think if they give you their number in the first message your actually gonna phone them or text them????

Got a mobile number in subject line yesterday. Googled it. And came up with lads name. Address and business and pictures of him and family. And I'm no detective but that was within 90 seconds.

And funny thing. He wouldn't send a picture.

Exactly this. We have a swing phone, to many ways for phone numbers to lead back to social sites.

Very few people get my number, only the people I've met and trust - and chat with regularly. We have a bat phone now after organising last weeks social too though. It's going to get very confusing lol.

Yeah - Numbers only to those who you feel that you can trust and if the worst happens no sleep lost if you have to ditch the number, hence as mentioned more than one phone.

Easy enough to block your number from google fb and twitter its much easier to google search someones pics tho.

i would not give out my number on a first message but i definatly want to have a number before we meet or at least another form of contact other then here, think it proves people a genuine. i once went to a meet with out a number for the person i was meeting and it was a complete piss take. Sat for hours waiting for a no show.

Maybe the guys are just trying to show they are genuine by giving it, seen as some ask for it.

I've had the same number sent a few times. Some guy just blanketing his number to everyone on here I think.. and the funny thing is he always says discretion is important...you put your number in the message topic... so discrete..

Only people I have actually met and trust have my number. Mind you I changed my phone recently and lost loads and my Kik. ..need to reset that! !

But it's here and Kik until after a coffee meet and I feel I can trust that person. Thankfully there are some really fab genuine people but sadly some not so much!

Yep. Kik messenger for us. Works best. Private and no hassle.

Think they would be very naive to think you are gonna call or txt their number after one mail.

You'd rack up some phone bill with the amount of mail single women get haha

I love Kik!! I have avoided getting a fab fone so far because of its function. Conversations can happen in real time outside of fab snaps sent with time out options for face pic swapping and meets can be arranged easily love it!!! Best of all only info needed is a user name!!!

In kik, you should be able to search for "photobomb" up the top when you swipe left to right.

Also i always assume that if i get a phone number in the first message in the title, then its not the persons phone number. Its the phone number of someone they are trying to annoy.

Awh we will drag you into the digital age kicking and screaming yet.

But that said you do need to have a "air gaped" approach to setting up social media. I.e. Set up kink based email or phone details when signing up for naughty sites.

Then use your normal email phone when setting up vanilla social media. That means less chance of naughty people finding you liking pics of auntie Marys 50th birthday party, unless I want them too that is
