Naas

The three Martyrs have called off their hunger strike after 24 hours I see.

Awh the poor auld Craters must have been mad for the hang sandwich and cup of scauld when their little tummies rumbled.

What would you, the beautiful people of fab go on hunger strike for? Water, love, quick leg over, chance of a good steamy session with a few women?

by a lake with my rod out

it takes a lot of determination to go on a hunger strike and to follow it through. there have been many selfless acts done by people who stand by their convictions all around the from hunger strikes to standing in front of tanks. ok these people didn't follow through but to make light of it isn't funny.

but to answer your questions I would go on hunger strike for my beliefs if I had to.

Well done you most people are armchair critics and are quite happy to ridicule those that stand by their beliefs and principles.

The hunger strike was called off after a petition was started asking them not to do this.

We have always paid for water, the water charge is an attempt to make us pay for it twice, they will pocket the first time we pay for it, an squander the second.

I remember living abroad, and the only thing Ireland had to offer that was better than abroad was free water and free bins.

They had better health, better roads, better waste management, better everything.

Now we are just known abroad as sick people waiting in hospitals. We dont have a single thing to be proud of, that they dont have.

Irish politicans are clowns, pointing to europe "But they pay for water" and we swallow. Why dont they point to europe and say "they have great roads, higher speed limits, shorter waiting times"

Nah they only point to europe as an example for us to copy when they want to scalp us.

If the government are not gonna listen too the people like recent major protests why woul they even think about 3 people on hunger strike they don't care they will never ever care they are selling Ireland off like bargin buy at tescos lining there greedy pockets put it this I for one will never EVER PAY for a HUMAN right that is of course water I letted them put in the meter stood there an watched when they moved on too the next house I took it out and put in my mums shed mass non payment fuk the meters just take them back out and don't pay the Irish prisons cannot will never cater for huge numbers like this mass non payment but that's my opinion

Everyone pay's for water, weather it's in tax or charge. Drill your own well and you still have to pay for a pump replacement every 3 to 5 years, it seems to be avoidable at the moment.

"On what do you base your assumption? "

That was ment to be unavoidable, if you want water, you will pay at some stage, if you want your waste taken away that has to be paid for too, if you own a property , pay for that too.

These Taxes are unavoidable, if you don't pay, they take them from your income + some extra charges for not paying.

That's not what you said.

Now you are asking a whole new question, and that is not what I commented on.
