"What's people thoughts or reactions to a parent starting a new relationship after the death of a mother or father. Do you feel betrayal to the loss parent do you feel instant dislike..... Life goes on happy sad emotions.." See no problem with it - after a respectful period of mourning. Problem is for some that could be a month. For others a year. No "one size fits all".

"After losing my Dad I thought my mum should never be with anyone else, he was the love of her life. But she has met someone new who is amazing for her, brought her back out of her shell. And he has taken time to get to know me and my sisters. he treats her like a princess. She was my Daddy's Queen and he will always be King of my heart. "

"I'm talking bout myself here. And yes I'm sure people thinking this is not the place to be talking bout things on a swingers site. I just wanted people's reactions if they had been through the same. Is it normal at my age to feel this instinct betrayal but know I'm being selfish at the same time. " No its very natural to feel that way. But just remember everyone needs companionship and yes it will be difficult to see them with some1 new but if it makes them happy then you've got to suck it up and get on with it as best u can!! If I can deal with it at my age then you will do just fine!

"I'm happy for my father but can't help feeling slight resentment towards this woman. Who I don't know and my children finding it hard. It's early days I know and people get used to the idea thanks for feedback. " Its tough but everyone deserves to have someone to keep them company and make them feel normal again. I understand and can relate to your situation.my dads girlfriend had the same name as me which was even worse and all of a sudden it was Cat who.me and my mam were forgotten.well that's how it felt.so I hated the woman even though there was nothing wrong with her and she made him happy.

"My mother is 2 and half years passed. I suppose it would not matter how long. It's the first time dating. And how I found out He never approached me. I'm a grown woman and I know everyone is entitled to a happy life with someone. I get the betrayal I kind of feel that... I suppose it was handled wrong from my father's prospective and emotions run high. " everyone is different, some people are easy going and take things in there stride, other are not and like to know of any changes that happen in family life, hopefully uve had a chat with ur dad to tell him how u feel and hopefully his new partner is understanding to his family , wish u all the best and remember what ever happenes he is still ur dad and u only get the dad in life mr crazy
