Just be aware...

If you ask someone to buy you a drink on Friday... And they respond " ! I will ya it means no way..

If you ask someone to do something who resides in Cork.. he or she might respond... " I will in my barney"... Meaning there is no way I'm doing that..

There were girls all over the shop..... Meaning there were girls all over the place in one destination.... And yes you guessed it... There is no shop in sight..

Be wide.... Means be careful.. Or watch out!... E..g.... Be wide I just left a stinker in the loo...

Like... Every sentence might end in like... This does not mean we have Facebook in our brains..

Daycent.... If you show an item or tell a Cork person something... If they respond "that's daycent".. It means that good..

garry..... Meaning can I try that.... So lads if you get asked this many times you could be on a winner..

Add more if you wish.

Lickie Manor

"You're As Tight As A Camel's Arse In A Sandstorm"

"Da fella so dim, he couldn't hold a fuck fest in a hoor hus."

Perhaps the most honest, and refreshing of all local dialects in the country, it is a fiercely independent and proud county, and the locals enjoy walking to the beat of a different drummer, pure class, like.
