Anyone listen to blues music johnny lee hooker, muddy walters,screaming jay hawkings,billie holliday, nina simone, and some more great acts shame people dont ust the music anymore.Now thats what i call music.

What do people think any blues listeners here?.

I jammed with Don Baker a few times when I lived in cork. Delightful fellow.

Personally I'm a big Robert Johnson fan. Always remember the roots.

Also you should watch Croosroads (not the Britney Spears crap) and Cadillac records. Both excellent movies for blues music.

Love blues - and more so delta blues - can't get enough of lightin Hopkins and all the blind guys !

Those guys could play - can smell the Cotten ( actually don't know what a Cotten plant smeels like !)

Often went to see Don when he was playing locally many moons ago,,, he's gone on to be in love /hate since hasnt he?

Rory Gallagher was great have a few cds at home of hes stuff.

I'm glad someone mentioned Rory Gallagher. One of Ireland's greatest blues players.

Gary Moore is another great, he was asked to join the Stones.

Leadbelly is good old blues
