All blacks are back as favourites and England as second but if Ireland beat them in the six nations it'll change all that.

I'm thinking the all blacks or south Africa will probably do it although I'd love to see Ireland do it

I made a statement 1 night 10 years ago that ireland would would win a world cup by 2015. I think this year is a good a chance as we've had but after last Friday night. England look very much like the complete deal

My prediction is that it's actually all a front for a hunger games type set up, they'll take all the best teams and throw them into an arena and make them all fight... in the nip... covered in oil...

We'd better be vigilant for injuries too... y'know, in case they pull a muscle or something and need a rub down. Poor craters.

I hope and pray that we're ok but in the warm ups we massacred the easy teams and got creamed when we played the proper 1st teams.

Mr69: RIGHT! You 'orrible lot. You lost to the Taffs last week now you have to destroy the Diggers so our little journey can continue. No messing about, it will probably be a 4-1 point spread but the win will lift you so COME ON! Show us the Lion's courage.

Good luck Australia.

England lost the forward battle and Australia then destroyed them but will they look as good if they lose the forward tussle? NZ soundly beat them in their last meeting. If Pocock or Hooper is injured will Australia win much ball? We're less than halfway through the RWC.

Today was to be a step up to next week they lacked in so many areas its a big ask to jump up to the intensity that is requiref for a French side that like us would love to avoid NZ in the next round

Here's how I'm thinking.

We beat France. We top group. We meet Argentina in 1/4 final. If we get past them we meet All Blacks in Semi final.

We lose to France. We come second in group. We meet All Blacks in 1/4 final.

I'd prefer for us to meet all blacks in the quarters than the semis. They will be more vulnerable earlier in the competition. If we are going to beat them, something we are going to have to do to win this thing, the quarter final is the place to do it.

We need to consider what outcome we want from the competition. Do we want to top group or win it outright?

I want the latter.....

If... France give us that option & we beat NZ for the first time EVER.

First time for everything. Then at least 2 Irish sides will have beaten the blacks. Munster and Ireland.

We cant meet NZ in the semis the way the draw is. IT'S either the quarters or the final

The final would be worse for us......

They prepare for 4 years to peak towards the end of this competition.
