Personally, I hate it!

dis = this

dat = that

dem = them

der = there

etc....

The list is endless, this forum is for other user to post other examples for us less in-tune with the new form of chatting.

I don't mind text speak in a text but on fourms, profiles or in emails it drives me nuts - sometimes I can't understand mails they are so written so texty

ooo pedantic,get you,lol ( oops,that will annoy you hehe )have to agree,over use of text speak is annoying.but some profiles and messages have such bed spelling and grammar.....bit of a turn off

we like our special friends to be able to string a few words together.

bloody hate text speak,annoys the hell outa me,its not hard to spell the full word,and grammer is important,,

Don't mind in the correct context for chatting, texting etc. Agree with Usee, profiles should be worded correctly. When I read a profile in text language i feel like it is from a young teen. and puts me off.

I also get work emails and telephone messages from work colleagues in text language and this really irritates me.

txt spk is fine if you're using a phone keypad (2=abc, 3=def, etc) but if you're using a qwerty then you really have no excuse, it doesn't make things faster, especially when auto correct changes things
