I maintain to get a true opinion of someone you have to skype and or meet in person! Impossible to get a view of somebody through a profile or talking through a screen! Agree?

Depends on the person.

A lot of pople when you meet them for the first time you are meeting the best version of themselves they can muster on that day.

You might meet someone who is a turn off, because they are tired from work, grumpy. Meet them the next day and they could be frindly, funny.

It's only when you live with someone for a while do you really get a chance to know them, even then some will carry on an act for years.

On the other hand, some people just present themselves truthfully and you can get to know them over internet, or on first meeting, or over a week.

Depends.

I'm not sure I entirely agree with that, I've chatted to some fantastic people on this site and when I've met them they've been just that. I've been completely honest on my profile I don't see the need to be anything than other than who I am..so I hope I came across tge same way to them

Most people we meet on here are even more beautiful in real life. .. and we dont mean beautiful as in looks... They're simply beautiful ppl cus they're simply beautiful

but yes. .. real life meets much better than anything modern technology can offer...

In the context of Fabs OP then a coffee/drink meet is essential to check chemistry, hygiene and attraction....can't get thlose even on a webcam

yep! U can speak to the person! See there body language, demeanour etc! U can't get a true indication of someone through a screen! U need to meet for hygiene etc stuff like that

And I do agree with that to a certain point I don't do Skype it's just not my thing (each to their iwn though) but I think the messages on here add to the build up (or indeed the let down ) of the meet? I'm fussy about who I meet to be honest I don't see why I shouldn't be and I've been lucky enough to only meet a couple of wankers early on lol everyone else has been great lol

We would agree with modern technology to let ppl see each other etc etc...

Skype / webcam can allow others to c interaction etc etc...

but.. that first meet.. hand shake. . Or kiss on cheek. . Smell of perfume.. etc etc.. cant ever replace

Recently I had a coffee meet I was so excited about it too...

Turned out to be a disaster!!

Seen his pics...

He was gorgeous...

Met and expected my knickers to be drenched as soon as I shook his hand...

But I felt nothing
