The "guide" clinic website is very informative ,it's the free sti clinic in St James's hospital in Dublin. They recommend a test after any and every unsafe play.Also a fact which I found interesting on that webpage is that there is no blood test for hpv in men,not that it's anything to worry about just interesting.

My clinic tests you every 12 weeks, they also give you injections for hepatitis as well. So unless you are refraining from oral sex also you are still at risk using a condom as well. You guys realise anybody that had antibiotics is harbouring a case of thrush? And that most viral transmission is gonna happen no matter what? ok you might dodge HIV but even that is dubious due to lacerations do happen during sex?

No indeed, and that was my original point, these women and men are meeting for the first time and not using protection, not knowing jack shit about each other and just cos they tell you 'I got tested last week' or 'I'm on the pill' don't ASSUME they are telling you the truth!!!

Thrush only occurs in approx 1/3 of women who take antibiotics. And even then, the yeast that causes thrush has to present in the body already.
