Just had a littl idea and was wondering if there was any interest?

Rather then the usual socials, would there be any interest in a little 5 a side tournament of footie? Open to guys and gals of course

We could organise a day when the weather gets better, have afew games of football followed by afew pints Im a local pub?

Ive no hassle organising if there is interest but will also have to have someone offer to ref

And yes, this is clearly my calculated plot to watch men sweating in shorts as I stand on the side line as a cheer leader

Just an idea, could be a good fun day out and something a little different to the normal socials as I say

I was thinking if there was enough names I could pop them in a hat to pick the teams? Or people could team up themselves but then fabbers who don't know anyone else would be left out so maybe a hat pick would be best

Or you could consider county teams to increase the fun and banter back in the bar. If its a success and I have little doubt that it wouldnt be then we could have an annual competition for the Fabbers Five Fling Perpetual Cup.

Well tis not my forte either but anything to perv on hot sweaty men I did okay football for years when I was a teenager but then I discovered alcohol and boys and that was the end of my sporting career!

im more of a vinnie jones/ cantona hybrid. spent more time banned than anything else at junior level including a 6 month ban for kicking a guy in the head but my record at senior level was a little better untill I retired due to dodgy knees and smoking

When I joined a football team my manager told me that he will intoroduce me to playing gradually. He asked would it be ok for me to play the first half for a few matches then he will pull me off at half time.

I said thats great as I only got oranges in halftime with my last team. Lol

Yep, ideally it would be great to get afew teams and then have a little play off and the winning teams play then. That's if enough people put their names down. I will get on it during the wk and price it up and get locations etc
