To me, socials are a great way of getting to know people, putting the names to the people you see & chat to on the forums! You can't really know what a person is really like until you meet them in person!! Socials can be good fun too!!

My advice to the Op would be to join in on the banter on the forums and after 2 months or so, he'll know who he likes or not and then he can decide whether to go to a social or not, it's up to him!

I've been here for over a year and not verified but it doesn't mean I haven't met anyone from here. Some people come onto this site and think they will get sex at the drop of a hat and think they need to get verified asap to talk to people, in my experience nothing is further from the truth. There are a lot of genuine nice people on here who will give you the time of day if you just be yourself and show respect and manners. Don't run before you can walk is what I'd say.
